Brandalism
The conflation of “vandalism” and “branding” describes a recent movement in which street artists stencil, paint and otherwise deface advertising billboards with their own designs. All in the name of Art. Each “artist” has their own signature or tag…The ironic thing is many of these “brandalisms” just feature the artists tag, looking remarkably similar to the campaigns used by the brands they are trying to rebel against.
Omnishambles
A situation that has been comprehensively mismanaged, characterised by a string of blunders and miscalculations. Notable omnishambles this year include G4S’ failure to meet the demands of this years olympic security contract and the governments handling of the proposal process for the west coast rail service contract.

Read MoreOne of the first things most people do on Linkedin is sign up to a few groups. It’s good practice and aids in networking.
One of the down sides to this (as i’m sure some of our readers will have found out for themselves) is that you will start getting daily updates from these groups sent to your email. This is fine if you’re only signed up to a few groups or if you want to be kept informed of everything that happens in your groups.
For some people however this can be very annoying and its not immediately apparent how to turn these emails off..

Speakers at this event were Jonathan Pfahl, Karen Gould and our Director Jonathan Wright.
The event covered sales strategies for entrepreneurs, Jonathan Pfahl gave a very inspirational talk about how to do things right as an entrepreneur. He listed some interesting case studies of businesses the group had already helped gain success and then went on to comment on some social media strategies that were used by other people to target himself.
